Joining RSCIf you would like to join Romsey shooting Club, then the procedure is as follows.
- For existing firearms certificate holders, you can apply for membership by following the procedure below.
- If you do not have a firearms certificate we would suggest you contact our membership secretary (see below). You can then you can apply for probationary membership. If accepted, you be able to shoot all disciplines within the club (SG with a section 2) and use club guns. When you have attended 10 shooting sessions, you may apply for full club membership. If accepted, then you may use the club as a reference to apply to the police for your own firearms certificate which will enable you to participate fully (with your own section 1 shotgun).
Shooting costs are based upon membership status and shoot type. As a rough guide, the lowest membership cost is currently 35 pounds with a charge of 3 pounds per session at our location near Romsey. Membership runs yearly from 1st September.
If you are interested in joining Romsey Shooting Club then please complete the Application for Probationary Membership and Police screening form then email to our membership secretary for the required postal address. DO NOT SEND THE FORMS TO THE POLICE. This will be done by the club. Also send a JPEG picture of yourself for your application and membership card.
Our constitution outlines the objectives of the club and details how the club is operated.
To remain within our current understanding of the law and the conditions placed upon us by our insurers, certain restrictions have to be applied to membership.
At the discretion of the club certain other age restrictions may have to be applied.
